The Readiness Curriculum
At Coloma Sixth Form, we believe that every young woman should have the confidence, ambition and opportunity to achieve without limits. Our Readiness Curriculum is designed to prepare our students not simply for their next steps, but for a future in which they can thrive, lead and make their mark on the world.
We want our young women to dream boldly, challenge expectations and break through barriers.Whether pursuing careers traditionally under represented by women, taking on leadership roles, progressing to university or apprenticeships, or making a difference in their communities, we want every student to recognise that her opportunities should never be defined by limitations or stereotypes.
Our Readiness Curriculum goes beyond academic qualifications. It develops the knowledge, character, cultural awareness and practical skills that enable our students to become confident, independentand resilient young women. Through meaningful enrichment, personal development, leadership opportunities and experiences beyond the classroom, we broaden horizons, build cultural capital and ensure that every student has the opportunity to discover what she can achieve.
Rooted in our Catholic mission and inspired by the charism of the Daughters of Mary and Joseph, our curriculum brings our four school values to life. We encourage our students to be:
-
Courageous – confident to find their voices, challenge barriers, take risks andembrace opportunities.
-
Compassionate – understanding the importance of empathy, inclusion, service and standing up for others.
-
Guided by God – developing faith, purpose and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
-
Successful – ambitious, resilient and equipped to fulfil their potential and make a positive difference.
Our Readiness Curriculum is built around four interconnected pillars, each contributing to the development of well-rounded, empowered and future-ready young women.
Because at Coloma, we don't just prepare young women for the world as it is. We empower them to shape the world as it could be.
